You can create audio-only exercises to assign to your learners. These exercises won’t include interactive notation but can include an attached photo or PDF for reference. You can either record directly in MatchMySound or upload an existing audio file from your computer.
How to Create an Audio-Only Exercise by Recording with MatchMySound
1. Go to My Content.
• This is where you’ll create and manage your custom exercises.
2. Click Create Your Own Content.
3. Select Create Audio-Only Content.
4. Set the metronome.
• Choose your metronome settings, tempo, and beats per bar.
• You can also tap the tempo manually if needed.
5. Click Record.
• Record your audio directly within MatchMySound.
6. Edit if needed.
• After recording, use the editing screen to trim your audio or re-record if necessary.
How to Create an Audio-Only Exercise Using an Existing Audio File
Follow these steps to create an audio-only exercise using a file from your computer:
1. Go to My Content.
• This is where you’ll create and manage your custom exercises.
2. Click Create Your Own Content.
3. Select Create Audio-Only Content.
4. Upload your audio file.
• In the lower section of the page, click Load audio file.
• Accepted formats include WAV, MP3, and OGG.
5. Trim your audio.
• On the next page, adjust the audio as needed by trimming the file.
6. Click Continue.
7. Edit the details of your exercise.
• Update the following fields:
• Title
• Author
• Description
• Count-in beats/bar
• Tempo
• Instrument
• Default score goal
8. Attach a PDF (optional).
• If needed, click Attach a File to include a PDF with the exercise.
9. Click Save.
Your audio-only exercise is now ready to assign to your learners!
