Text Formatting Tools for Teachers
The Text Formatting Toolbar allows you to style text, embed media, and organize your content. Below is a simple guide to using these tools effectively.
Basic Formatting
• Bold (Ctrl+B) – Makes text stand out.
• Italic (Ctrl+I) – Adds emphasis to text.
• Headings – Use headings to organize content. Use no more than three heading levels.
Adding Media & Links
• Image – Upload pictures from your device.
• Video – Embed a video by pasting its URL. Make sure the link starts with https://.
• Link – Add links to websites by pasting the URL. Again, always include https://.

Text Alignment
• Align Left – Default option (recommended).
• Align Center – Centers your text.
• Align Right – Right-aligns text.
• Justified – Not recommended because it creates large, uneven spaces between words.
Lists & Indentation
• Ordered List – Creates a numbered list.
• Bullet List – Creates a bulleted list.
• Indent Left/Right – Moves text left or right for better organization.
Special Text Formatting
• Subscript (Ctrl+↓) – Makes text smaller and lower than surrounding text.
• Superscript (Ctrl+↑) – Makes text smaller and higher.
• Text Size – Adjusts text size (use sparingly).
• Text Color & Background Color – Change text or background color (only if necessary).
• Blockquote – Highlights quotes or important text.
• Code Block (</>) – Useful when adding guitar or bass tabs.
• Boxout – Highlights key information in a styled box (use “Default” or “Ghost” styles).
Clearing Formatting
If things get messy, use Clear Text Formatting to remove all styles and start fresh!
